AUCTIONS 636 AND 637 CONTAIN A THRILLING, WIDE AND VARIED OFFER FOR COLLECTORS AND DEALERS
This time you will find both a special auction as the regular auction in one catalogue.
Auction 636 contains a highly specialized collection classic Luxembourg consisting of issues Duke William III and the Arms. The offer covers a variety of loose stamps, stamps in units, cancellations and stamps on covers, all in a select quality. It is such a beautiful collection that we provided it with a separate auction number. This will be a unique opportunity to complete your collection of special pieces, or even to start collecting Luxembourg.
Immediately after this special auction will follow auction 637. In our first session you will find a nice selection of Netherlands and Overseas Territories, as usual starting with our first issue, including an unused 10 cents Plate II which is offered very rarely. In addition, the offer includes a variety of sought after and valuable stamps, interesting proofs, and basically anything which makes collecting the Netherlands and Overseas Territories so appealing.
Our Postal History section contains numerous of special covers. Among the lots Netherlands you will find the second part of the specialized gold award-winning exhibition collection “The Postal History of the Low Countries until 1813” of the late Mr. A.H.M.H. van den Brink.
Traditionally a section of the Dutch East Indies including an exclusive collection “Beautés des Indes” which contains some absolute gems such as an 1872 envelope showing a spectacular four color franking, a part of the extensive collection of Dr Han T. Siem including Hanging Hair and some special covers from Portuguese Timor sent through the Dutch East Indies, and of course again a selection of KPM covers from the late Mr.Ted Kerzner. In our airmail section you can find some fine Van der Hoop covers.
The sheer volume of intact collections is impressive; almost all countries are more or less well represented. You can find hundreds of lots under the albums / stockbooks, folders and boxes. We advise you to take your time while visiting our viewingdays.
We wish you a lot of pleasure going through all these philatelic delicacies. If you have any questions or specific requests please do not hesitate contacting us. We are happy to serve you.
Place your valued bids in time, either in writing or behind your computer at home (online bidding) or personally in the auction room.
